Best Chiropractor in Millard: How to Find the Right Fit

Best Chiropractor in Millard: How to Find the Right Fit

How to pick a chiropractor in Millard, and how we handle care at Becker Chiropractic.

Picking a chiropractor is less about who is at the top of a list and more about what you actually need. Sciatica is not the same as a sports injury. A sports injury is not the same as a sore back from sleeping wrong. The way you want to be treated matters too. Some people want a quick adjustment and out the door. Others want a careful exam and a plan with a clear ending. Both are fine. The trick is finding a chiropractor who fits what is going on with you.

What to look for when you pick a chiropractor

After 18 years in practice, here is what patients tell me matters most:

  1. A real exam, not just “lie down and let me adjust you.” Any chiropractor can crack your back. The good ones spend 20 to 30 minutes on your first visit checking your joints, muscles, and nerves so they actually know what is wrong. No exam is a red flag.
  2. Training that fits your problem. A sports injury needs a chiropractor with sports training. A pregnant patient needs a chiropractor with pregnancy training (called Webster certification). Nerve pain often needs a chiropractor who can also do muscle work like dry needling or acupuncture. Plain adjustments work great for simple problems.
  3. A plan you can understand. After your first visit, you should know about how many visits you will need and what “done” looks like. If the answer is “come in three times a week forever,” go somewhere else.
  4. Clear answers about cost. Ask up front what your insurance covers. A good office checks your benefits before you show up so there are no surprises.
  5. A place you can actually get to. The best clinic in town is not the best one for you if it is too far to drive on a regular schedule.

How we handle care at Becker Chiropractic

Becker Chiropractic & Acupuncture

Address: 17785 Mason St, Ste 101, Omaha, NE 68118  Â·
Phone: (402) 330-8600  Â·
Drive from Millard: 8 to 15 minutes

We sit on Mason Street, just north of the Millard area. Most Millard patients get to us in 8 to 15 minutes.

What we are known for:

  • Sciatica, disc problems, and nerve pain that other places could not fix
  • Whiplash and car accident injuries. I have extra training for whiplash, and we bill your auto insurance for you so you do not have to fight with them
  • Sports injuries for athletes, weekend warriors, runners, golfers, and lifters
  • Chiropractic, dry needling, and acupuncture all under one roof. Helpful when an adjustment alone is not enough

How we treat: Most patients get a mix of chiropractic adjustments, hands-on muscle work, stretching, and tips on how to sit and move at home and work. Dry needling and acupuncture get added when they would speed things up. The plan is built around what is going on with you, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Best fit if you want: A real exam before any treatment, the option to combine a few styles of care in one visit, or a place that handles tricky injuries and car accident cases.

Probably not the best fit if you want: A monthly all-you-can-eat membership plan. We back off care as you get better.

Insurance: We take Blue Cross Blue Shield Nebraska, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, and most other big plans. BBB A+ rated.

Frequently asked questions

Is Becker Chiropractic actually in Millard?

We are right on the Millard / West Omaha border, on Mason Street just north of the Millard area. We are about 8 to 15 minutes from most Millard neighborhoods, often faster than driving downtown.

How much does a chiropractic visit cost?

With insurance, most patients pay a normal specialist copay. Without insurance, a first visit in the Millard area runs about $75 to $150 and follow-up adjustments run about $40 to $75. We check your benefits before your first visit so you know what is covered.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what is wrong. A fresh, simple injury might be 3 to 4 visits. A disc problem is usually 6 to 12 visits over 4 to 6 weeks. A long-running or complicated case can take longer. We give you a real estimate at the first visit and update it as you go.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We take Blue Cross Blue Shield Nebraska, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, and most other big plans. HSA and FSA cards welcome. We check your benefits before your first visit.

How fast can I get in as a new patient?

Usually within 1 to 3 business days. If you are in real pain or hurt yourself today, we often can get you in the same day.

Do I need a referral?

No. In Nebraska you can go straight to a chiropractor without a referral from another doctor.

What if Becker is not the right fit for me?

That happens, and that is fine. Give us a call and tell us what is going on. If we are not the right match, we will point you to other Millard chiropractors who might be.
